Meet Olivia

Hi, I'm Olivia.

For as long as I can remember, I've been interested in the connection between food and how we feel. Growing up with IBS, I know how frustrating it can be to not feel like yourself and to search for answers: feeling nauseous after almost every meal, being triggered by food that felt normal the day before, being in and out of the ER. Over time, I began to understand how much the everyday things we do, especially the food we eat, can shape how we feel.

In 2019, my family's relationship with food took on a whole new meaning when my mom was diagnosed with stage 3B colon cancer. Watching her navigate treatment changed the way I thought about nutrition and its role in health. It also made me realize that I wanted to help other people feel more confident in how they nourish themselves, whether they're looking to feel better day to day or navigating something much bigger.

I left my career in finance, returned to school at Columbia University, and became a Registered Dietitian. Today, I bring both my personal experiences and my training into the work I do, with a belief that good nutrition shouldn't feel overwhelming or take the joy out of eating.

My approach is rooted in whole foods, plant-forward eating, and making small, meaningful changes that work for your life. I'm not here to give you a list of foods you can and can't eat. I'm here to help you understand your body, find what works for you, and build habits that feel good and last.

A little about how I work

I understand that it's personal

My own experience with IBS and my mom's cancer journey have shaped the way I see nutrition. Our bodies are constantly changing, and foods can affect us differently at different times. I know that everyone's story is different, and I want to understand yours.

I believe in starting with baby steps

I love helping people discover how simple, nourishing meals can support their health. My approach combines nutrition research with a practical, whole-food philosophy, with additional tools when they're helpful.

FAQ

Good questions.

Do you take insurance?

Whole is a private-pay practice. After every session you'll get a superbill to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so check your benefits first.

Do you see clients virtually?

Yes. Sessions are in person in Los Angeles or by video for clients in 14 states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Texas, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.

What happens after I inquire?

I'll reach out to set up a short intro call, where we talk through your goals and which package fits.

What is a superbill, and can I get reimbursed?

A superbill is an itemized receipt with the codes your insurance plan needs (CPT 97802 for the initial assessment and 97803 for follow-ups). You submit it to your plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage for nutrition therapy varies by plan and diagnosis, so check your benefits first.

Can I book a single session?

Most clients start with a package, but single sessions are available. Mention it in your inquiry.

Do you work with doctors and therapists?

Yes. With your written consent, I coordinate with your care team. Providers can find referral details on the For Clinicians page.
