Chronic illness
Oncology Nutrition
When you or someone you love is diagnosed with cancer, nutrition can suddenly feel complicated. I'm here to help take some of that uncertainty away, with practical, personalized support through treatment, recovery, and life beyond cancer.
How we approach care.
There is no single right way to eat during or after cancer. Your needs are unique, and they may change throughout your journey. My approach is to listen first, understand what you're going through, and help you find practical ways to nourish yourself without adding more pressure to an already difficult time. With your consent, I'll also work alongside your oncologist and care team to ensure your nutrition care complements your treatment.
This work is especially close to my heart. Walking alongside my mom through her colon cancer diagnosis and treatment shaped the way I think about food, health, and the support people need during some of life's hardest moments. It's a big part of why I became a Registered Dietitian, and why I care so deeply about helping patients and families feel supported through their own experiences.
What we support.
During treatment
When treatment makes eating difficult, even figuring out what sounds good can feel like a challenge. Together, we'll find foods that feel manageable, work through symptoms like nausea, taste changes, and low appetite, and help you meet your nutritional needs as best you can throughout treatment. We'll take it one step at a time, always working alongside your oncology team.
Recovery and survivorship
Finishing treatment doesn't always mean things go back to normal overnight. Whether you're rebuilding your strength, navigating lingering symptoms, or figuring out what eating well looks like moving forward, we'll find a realistic approach that supports your recovery and long-term health.
Support for families
When someone you love is going through cancer, knowing what to cook or how to help them eat can feel overwhelming. I help patients and their families find simple, nourishing meals that work with changing appetites, preferences, and needs, so food can feel less stressful and more manageable.
